One of our licensed tandem instructors will familiarize you with the equipment and provide a brief 30-minute safety and procedural training so you know exactly what to expect each step of the way. Then, it’s go time!

When it’s your turn, your instructor will get you ready with a harness and goggles before you walk over to the aircraft and board the plane together. After takeoff, you will enjoy a beautiful 20-minute plane ride over the Lake George area.

Around 9,000 feet the instructor will open the door and, while safely strapped to your instructor and your heart racing like never before – you’ll jump! With roughly 30 seconds of freefall your senses will go into overdrive as you reach terminal velocity. The floating feeling at terminal velocity is truly like nothing else.

When the time comes, your instructor will deploy the parachute. At this point, everything slows down and you’ll be able to talk to your instructor. The views over the Adirondacks are astounding, and you’ll have around 5-6 minutes to enjoy them as you travel back down to earth.

For landing, your instructor will bring the parachute to its slowest forward and downward speed, coming in and landing on your butt. You’ll then be disconnected from your instructor, and together you’ll return to the spectator area. But don’t go too far as the instructor has some parting gifts for you.

After completing your skydiving, your instructor will give you your first jump certificate! An amazing keepsake for your adrenaline-filled day! As an added bonus, this certificate also counts as a loggable skydive if you ever want to become licensed to go on your own… because if you’re like us, you’re probably hooked!
