First Tandem Skydive

First Time Jumping?

Tandem skydiving is our most popular offering and is a great way to experience skydiving for the first time. After a brief 30-minute safety and procedural training, you are ready to make your first skydive! While harnessed to one of our highly experienced tandem instructors, who is fully responsible for the operation of the equipment, you are able to appreciate and enjoy the entire experience without having to learn to skydive yourself.

What to Expect

The first step to making your tandem skydive is to book your reservation! Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by a member of our friendly team who will go through the paperwork and potential risks of skydiving with you. After your paperwork is complete, a licensed tandem instructor will familiarize you with the equipment and provide any training that will be needed.

When it is your turn, your instructor will get you ready with a harness and goggles before you two walk over to the aircraft and board the plane.  After takeoff, you will enjoy a beautiful 20 minute plane ride over the Lake George area.

Around 9,000 feet the instructor will open the door and you two will exit the airplane into roughly 30 seconds of freefall. You’ll feel your senses go into overdrive as you reach your terminal velocity and it feel like you’re floating. It really is like nothing else.

When the time comes, your instructor will deploy the parachute. At this point, everything slows down and you’ll be able to talk to your instructor. The views over the Adirondack’s are astounding, and you’ll have around 5-6 minutes to enjoy them as you travel back down to earth.

For landing, your instructor will bring the parachute to its slowest forward and downward speed, coming in and landing on your butt. You’ll then be disconnected from your instructor, and together you’ll return to the spectator area.
